Position Overview

 

As a Mechatronics Engineer at Atom Tooling Technology, Inc., you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of integrated mechanical and electronic systems for our advanced tooling solutions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create innovative products that meet our clients’ needs while maintaining high standards of precision and performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Design & Development: Develop and design mechatronic systems, including mechanical components, electronics, and control systems for precision tooling applications.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Create prototypes, conduct tests, and analyze results to refine system designs and ensure optimal functionality and performance.

  • System Integration: Integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components into cohesive, functioning systems.
  • Automation Solutions: Design and implement automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes, including the use of sensors, actuators, and control algorithms.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues in mechatronic systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and user manuals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical designers, machinists, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechatronics and manufacturing technologies to propose improvements and innovations.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in mechatronics or related fields, with a focus on system design and integration.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design.

    • Familiarity with PLC programming and automation systems.

    • Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing mechatronic systems.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Certifications: Certifications in mechatronics or related areas.
  • Experience: Experience in the tooling or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with PLC and control systems applications.
  • Project Management: Experience managing or coordinating technical projects.

Working Conditions:
